is back with news that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which was recently announced, comes (surprise, surprise) in pink – just like the Samsung Galaxy Note, Note 2, Note 3, S3, S4 and S5. As you all know, pink isn’t exactly a new color when it comes to Samsung phones as it’s been proven over and over that there’s a substantial market for it.

The Note 4’s pink, which they named Blossom Pink, is a warm light pink hue. The color is closer to the Martian Pink we saw in Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, only this is more like its pastel version. When buying phones, color is a big deciding factor for me. I did get my own Note 3, which has a cooler kind of pink, and is borderline purple under bluish lighting. Seeing pictures of the Note 4, I’m relieved as it seems like the kind of pink I’ve been wanting for so long. I’m looking at a high possibility for an upgrade myself.

They changed the material from plastic to a classy-looking metal (I’m looking at those pink sides) and kept the faux-leather cover present from its predecessor. The changes in the design are pretty decent. But what got me to consider this is its upgraded Quad HD Super AMOLED (2560 x 1440) display. That means more pixel density aka super clear display. It also adapted the 2.5D glass screen (seen, for example, in the S3) which gives it a classier feel. The rear camera is upgraded to 16 megapixels (from 13) and the front camera is upgraded to 3.7 megapixels with an aperture of f/1.9, which means 60% brighter selfies for us.

The local release of the Galaxy note 4 here in the Philippines would be around late October and its estimated price ranges from P36,000 to P38,000. Note that the Blossom Pink variant will not be available officially here but can definitely be purchased from independent (even online) resellers.

I think I’m ready to say goodbye to my Note 3 anytime soon. πŸ™‚

        1. is a classified ads site. There are already some pink Note 4s being sold there. I am not sure where you’re from but it only caters to customers in the Philippines.
